How do I start a BPTA group?
The pastor of the assembly appoints a man/woman within the assembly as the
president. This appointment is ratified by the church board then by the membership
during the church’s annual saints meeting, to serve for one year. The re-election or
newly elected president is done on an annual basis thereafter in the annual saints
meeting.
The pastor may:-
- Allow the president to submit names of persons to serve on the BPTA committee. It
is recommended that the president does not have discussion with the individuals
listed prior to receiving approval of the pastor.
(Please, remember that pastor many times know more about the brethren than
other persons)
Or - Pastor and the Church Board select men/women to serve on the committee.

◊ President
◊ Secretary/Treasurer (this can be one or two persons)

◊ Public Relations/Promotions Officer
All plans and programmes of the committee MUST be approved by Pastor or
his/her designate.
